We all know who Priyanka Chopra is and we’re definitely proud that she’s of Indian origin.
Chopra started out her career by winning the May Queen contest at the Bareilly Club. She decided to give Miss India a chance after her mother sent in her photos to the contest panel, but she surely could have never guessed that she would win and be on her way to win the Miss World pageant 2000.
Gradually Priyanka Chopra started starring in some super hit films in the Bollywood industry. Chopra actually caught her big break when she was signed onto the cast of the American TV show ‘Quantico’, giving her the title of being the first Indian woman to star in a leading American TV drama.

Here are a few quotes by Priyanka Chopra that are really inspiring and motivational:

Struggles are a part of our lives no matter where we stand in it. We should learn from our mistakes, as they are the greatest lessons of life. Be an inspiration to others and try to guide them in the right direction through your own experiences. All you need to do is be yourself and know that if you have hit rock bottom, there is no way but up from there.

India is a country engrossed in Bollywood and absolutely obsessed with Shah Rukh Khan, a.k.a King Khan. This ‘all-rounder’ actor has come a long way in his life and now is famous because of his tremendous success and incredible acting. SRK is also known as a philosopher as his profound quotes inspire people to not give up and help them ignite the drive for success in their hearts.

Here are some quotes by Shah Rukh Khan that are sure to inspire you in a heartbeat and our perception of what they mean:

Don’t let your fears get the best of you, fight hard and be successful in achieving all the goals in your life

Study hard, work hard and play even harder. Don’t let yourself be bound by rules and always remember to live and achieve your own dreams, not the ones forced upon you by others. That is the only way you can truly be successful.

Rises and downfalls are a part of our lives but that doesn’t mean they are permanent. Don’t let your failures bring you down as they are temporary, learn from them, success will always find a way to you if you keep working hard.

Failure is a term that holds us back from taking risks and making bold decisions that have the ability of unleashing our true potential. Success and failure, both are structured in a way that makes you learn and grow in your life and career. The only difference between the two is that success is always welcomed with open arms.

The foundation of leadership is nothing more than honing the skill and discipline of nurturing and maintaining a mind that is never restricted by the apparent limitations that we face in our lives.

Outworking yourself gives far better results than just focusing on getting your tasks done. Challenge yourself and make sure you do better than before.

Quantifiable goals are just illusions; hard work is the only answer to achieving your goals and your dreams. It is your reality.

We should always focus on achieving our goals and work as much as we can to reach them faster. The more you give the sooner you will get.

The inspiring journey of a young MBBS student into becoming a knight in shining armour for a forgotten village in Rajasthan

There is a huge number of people in the world who want to help the less fortunate but are always discouraged by certain limitations and their own busy lives. After interacting with Dr. Ashwani Parashar, we were absolutely inspired by his beliefs and achievements. This 23 years old MBBS student of SMS Medical College in Jaipur, born and brought up in Dholpur, was there to help a village in Rajasthan when everyone had seemed to forget about its existence.

How it all started

It all began one Diwali morning in 2016, Dr. Ashwani and a group of his friends, decided to celebrate with the villagers of Rajghat (a village located at a distance of a few kilometres from his hometown Dholpur) in Rajasthan by distributing gifts like firecrackers and sweets. While his friends were distributing said gifts, Dr Ashwani ventured into the village talking to the locals and looking around the place, when he found himself being informed by the villagers about their terrible living conditions.

The problem

The locals told Dr. Ashwani about their lack of electricity, food, water, and roads. They told him that the only source of water available to them is from the famous River Chambal, excluding a hand pump in the village with water of 1600 TDS. “In addition to there being crocodiles in the river, it is polluted and there have been some encounters of villagers finding swimming dead bodies of both adults and children alike. Getting to know that people have to risk their lives for something as simple as water here was completely horrifying” he said.

Dr. Ashwani discovered that in the village there was only one government school for up to 5th class with just one teacher and a single room. He also found out that there were a lot of bachelors in the village as no one was willing to marry off their daughters to a place that had no amenities of any kind. Inspired to help these villagers, he decided to try and do something to help them. “I had to do something for the locals but I was very young, just 20 years old, I had no resources, no connections, and no idea how to go about it” he said. Disheartened by this, Dr. Ashwani returned to his home when he came up with the idea of raising funds through his connections with senior doctors.

The birth of a new campaign

With the support of Dr. Ashwani’s friends, a new campaign #SaveRajghat was created. He wrote letters to the government addressing the village local’s ‘Right to Life’ and forcing them to take notice. He approached many government officials and even wrote letters to the Prime Minister of India and Chief Minister of the state. When he thought he was at a standstill, suddenly came a day when officials from every department started visiting the village, asking the locals about their problems.

“People had asked me why I was so obsessed with helping Rajghat when there are thousands of such villages all over India. I told them, call me crazy, call me a lunatic, but I just want to decrease one village from your list and I will, somehow, I will.” He informed proudly.

After such a long time of fighting for the rights of Rajghat, Dr. Ashwani decided to try a different approach as well and reach out to some associations for help in their campaign and that is how by the Diwali of 2017, he was able to install solar-powered photovoltaic (PV) panels that convert solar energy into electricity in five of the houses in the village, through crowd funding, belonging to girls in classes above the 5th standard who went out to study, “I wanted to motivate the villagers to study and understand how important education is” he added. By 2018’s New Year, he was able to install solar panels in all of the houses. By 26th January, Dr. Ashwani had cartridge water purifiers installed in each house and school. Apart from these amazing achievements, he was also able to diminish the excessive drinking problem in the village.

The transition

The people of Rajghat love him and treat him like a family. “Now whenever I visit the village, they are happy to see me, the elders of the village treat me like a son. One elder even came up to me and said that he can now die happily as he had finally seen electricity, he is 70 years old. In a village where life stopped at 6 pm because of the dark, what is truly a big achievement for me is the smile on their faces.” he added.

Two foundations in Maharashtra have joined Dr. Ashwani in helping the village further with smart education by installing a cinema projector in the village itself to show the locals inspiring movies that make them understand where the world is now and how they should progress too.

Taking action against the state

“I have filed a Public Interest Litigation ‘PIL’ against Rajasthan in the Rajasthan high court, we’ve had two hearings, and the state has received a notice of right to life from the high court demanding the reason behind the poor living conditions of Rajghat. We still have more hearings, this process is long term, but it’s safe to say the state is worried as they are soon to install electricity in the village.” he said.

Now, people from all over the world are reaching out to the doctor. Offering a helping hand from countries like America, Canada, and recently Kuwait, giving him their full support.

When we asked him if he would continue helping the underprivileged, he told us that wherever he goes, wherever he settles, he would try to help the people there. Dr. Ashwani Kumar Parashar is truly an inspiration to all of us. Support this compassionate young man by supporting #SaveRajghat.

Ever wondered why your life dislikes you so much? Do you have an up close and personal relationship with someone named karma? Why is it that whenever you’re so close to achieving something, life snatches it away at the very last moment?

Each and every one of us always think at some point in our lives,

If only life were fair, I’d have everything

But what is the point of such a life?! Just think, a life without troubles, without ever having to fight for something, not ever having to work hard to achieve the goals you have. I know it sound absolutely divine right now but just take a moment and visualize such a life…wouldn’t it be boring? Completely tasteless? You wouldn’t have to fight for anything, you would have no drive and desire and the burning need to achieve something and you certainly wouldn’t have any dreams to dream at night! Why would anyone ever wish for a life like this?

Whenever you’re stuck in a rut with no way out, remember this like a mantra

When life gives you lemons, make lemonade

Admittedly, life isn’t a box of chocolates but that doesn’t mean we can’t make it our own box of delicious homemade truffles. When you are at that point in life where you feel like you’ve hit rock bottom and you moan and cry about how life isn’t fair and how unlucky you are, take a moment, and think about how each and every person has gone through or will go through a similar situation at some point in their lives. Some people fail epically but some pass with flying colours, and those who did pass, will tell you the same thing about such sticky situations that life troubles you with.

Life will constantly throw difficult challenges your way that would make you fall hard to the ground, but you should always get back up, dust yourself off, and keep moving forward with a smile on your face. Know that these challenges are a test of your endurance, of how much you can bear and if you truly deserve what you wish for. You just have one shot at your life, whether it glows brighter than the sun or it goes completely down the drain is entirely up to you. So, instead of being negative and throwing a fit, make the most of your situation.

Look around you, there are so many fighters you see and read about every day, who have been through situations where life wanted to knock them down but they always survived and pushed through. Here are a few examples:

When life gives you lemons, make lemonade

Walt Disney, the creator of Mickey Mouse, was fired from a newspaper with the accusation of lacking imagination. But instead of crying about his rejection and giving up, he went on to provide the world with amazing characters like Donald Duck and Goofy.

When life gives you lemons, make lemonade

Steve Jobs, the innovative thinker and the man responsible behind iPhone, iPad, and iPod, was given up for adoption by his biological parents because they couldn’t afford to bring him up. Later, he was unceremoniously fired from Apple, a company that he co-founded. Today, you wouldn’t find one person who doesn’t know who Steve Jobs is.

When life gives you lemons, make lemonade

JK Rowling, the creator of the enchanting world of Harry Potter, has gone through some really difficult times in her life before her stories became a rage all across the world. She was struggling as a single mother living in absolute poverty, surviving on government welfare when JK Rowling wrote Harry Potter. Her struggle didn’t end there though, the Harry Potter manuscript got rejected 12 times before being published by ‘Bloomsbury Publishing’. Look at her now, she is one of the richest women in the UK.

When life gives you lemons, make lemonade

Amitabh Bachchan, one of the most iconic actors alive today, wasn’t so lucky in his earlier years in Bollywood. Amitabh Bachchan was rejected from All India Radio because of his voice, on top of that, his first 12 films were a complete flop, but he never once gave up, and today he’s loved by millions of people.

Take these people as your inspiration to face whatever life throws at you, with a head held high and a game on attitude. Life isn’t always bitter and demanding, and when it is, then all you need to do is be positive and push forward towards your goals. Keep this in your mind and you’ll never be sad about your tough situations again.

This blog is here to save you from an unhappy life and to show you that if you have witnessed any of the signs at your job, that we talk about here, then it is time for you to move on to pursue better opportunities in your life. Each and every person feels low about their job on some gloomy days, even if they love it and are passionate about their work. If you are constantly feeling blue and find yourself dreading your work each and every day, then it is time for you to leave your job because it isn’t enough for you anymore.

Here are 8 signs that you are unhappy and that it’s time for a change:

  1. Each morning brings you misery

Every morning when you wake up, you find yourself lacking the motivation and the drive to get up and get moving. You hate going into your work and certainly don’t look forward to the long and dreary day ahead of you.

  1. You always find yourself stressed and anxious at your job

Whenever you go to work or even think about it, you sense yourself getting upset and extremely stressed out. You constantly find yourself anxious about your job and hate thinking about all the work that you need to do the next day.

  1. Your passion for your work is lacking

Where once you used to look forward to waking up each morning and going to work, you find yourself hating it. Where once you thought about all you could contribute and about how your skills would impress others, you hate every job work assigned to you.

  1. You have stopped getting along with your colleagues

The differences and the arguments have been growing between you and your colleagues. You don’t get along with them and feel completely alone because you dislike everyone you work with. Even if you try really hard to work out the differences, you need to know that sometimes it just can’t be fixed.

  1. Your skills aren’t appreciated at your workplace

Even if you have been working hard and taking on some difficult projects, your boss hasn’t been acknowledging your work and the fact that you have a lot more to offer than what you currently do, you feel that there isn’t any growth for you in your existing company. If all this has happened to you, then you need to find better opportunities.

  1. You’re getting underpaid for your work

Your work has been increasing and your responsibilities are higher as well, but your pay is still the same. When this happens, without a reasonable excuse, you should know that it’s time to find another job.

  1. Your work has been tipping the scale of your work life balance

You have been spending more and more time at your work and less time with your family and friends. A good work life balance is important but if it’s affecting your personal life then it’s time to get out of there.

  1. All the stress at your work has been affecting your health

Your work is very demanding and you find yourself constantly stressed about your job and all that stress has been affecting your mental as well as your physical health. No work is worth risking your own well-being, if this has been happening to you then it’s time for you to quit.

Remember, there will be plenty of opportunities knocking at your door, but none are worth it if you are struggling and are unhappy because of them. If any of the signs mentioned above have happened to you then you need to find better chances elsewhere. Stop being in denial and start looking out for signs like these if you want to live a happy and healthy life where you absolutely love your job.

Ever feel like your work load, your job, is getting a bit too overwhelming for you? Does your mind go blank when there is too much work but little to no time? Do you feel like you’re on the verge of giving up?

Being able to work well under pressure is always a bonus skill sought after in any company. If pressure at work is your daily routine, then here are some pointers for you to master the ability of handling your work with ease:

1) Take a Breather

Take a break from your hectic work, even if it is for a few minutes. Working constantly with no breaks in the middle can cause your brain to start shutting down from all your strenuous activities enforced onto it. Your mind needs to be active and alert when you work and for that you need to take a few moments to breathe in between. This will help you in feeling better and recharge your mind to be able to complete your projects efficiently and effectively with new ideas flowing through.

2) Remember to always Remain Calm

Always remember to be calm in stressful situations. Don’t break your calm disposition even if it gets too much. This will take a lot of practice but as you progress in your work, you get better. Being calm helps you in taking things in stride and completing your work without any hiccups, this practice makes you look composed and well put-together in front of your co-workers and you give out an impression of being able to handle tough situations with ease.

3) Focus on your Task and get it Done

Segregate what is your priority for the day at your work and focus on getting it done. If your mind wanders to all the things that you need to do then you won’t be able to complete any tasks as your mind would go into a panic mode and blank out. Focusing on your key daily tasks help you in completing your work in a time and orderly manner.

4) Sidestep the Drama and Stay Positive always:

Retain yourself from getting into petty arguments with your colleagues at work. With the amount of stress people have in an office, arguments are sure to arise, try to ignore getting into such situations and stay focused on the positive. If you are on the verge of a fight then stop, take a deep breath and think about the right way to resolve it and avoid an argument and drama in the office.

5) Getting Help is not Incompetence:

When you’re working, there might be times when it gets too stressful or you don’t have the time and there’s too much work to finish, in situations like these, it is important to know that you can ask for help from your colleagues. Doing this shows that you work well under pressure, are focused on completing the tasks, and that you aren’t afraid to ask for help.

6) Limit your Caffeine Intake:

Caffeine can be good to keep you focused on your work but only if it is in small amounts and with big gaps in between each intake. Too much coffee and chocolate, can cause you more stress and be really bad for your all-round well-being.

7) Remember to Stay Passionate:

“Love what you do and what you do will love you”

Stay passionate about your work and always remember to take five minutes, when it gets too much to handle, to remind yourself why you’re doing what you do and what your end goal is. It will always help you in staying focused and keeping you from giving up on your goals.

8) Hobbies are the Answer:

You need to remember that you have a life that is separate from your job. Having a personal life helps you in maintaining your professional life. Whether your hobby is to read, or sing, or dance, or listen to music, or playing games, or even cooking, your hobbies are the key to keeping you calm and relaxed and give you the capability to handle any kind of stress.

9) Have a Friendly Relationship with your Co-workers:

Maintaining a happy and friendly environment helps each and every member of the company in doing better in their jobs and be much more relaxed. Having friends at your work makes you look forward to each work day with enthusiasm and give you the ability to deal with stress and overwhelming situations with ease.

10) Regular Exercise and Sleep:

Surprisingly work-outs are not only good for your long-term health, they are known to reduce your stress in a major way. Just a brisk walk or dancing around your home releases endorphins making you feel great and ready to face the day head on. Sleeping for 7-8 hours a day is the best way to remain stress free in your life. Complete sleep helps you in reducing anxiety and relaxes your mind to a calm state that is good for your health and your work.

Don’t let the stress at your work consume you whole. Just following these 10 pointers will help you in leading a healthy work life with the capability of handling your work and your life with ease, giving you the opportunity to enjoy your job and motivate you to maintain a happy and active lifestyle

We all have a unique perspective of success as well as unique intentions of it, some believe success is an art of getting to that stage where you gain a lot of fame and respect from the others around you, some believe success is when you have people looking up to you for guidance and inspiration, some believe success is about hard work and how willing you are to push yourself to do your best, some believe success is when you are happy and content with your life and career, and there are some that believe that all success really is about is money.

What most of us don’t realize is that getting to that point of optimum success takes a lot of time and effort,

You can only truly be successful when you put in your heart, mind, body, soul, sweat and blood in what you do

You give your work everything you can, do way above your level best, not just work hard though, but work smart as well. Use your mind and show your co-workers your true potential, focus on your goal and you shall achieve it. Enjoy what you do or rather invest in your talents so that your success is not just a possibility but a definite.

Reaching success is a climb, and this climb is gradual, it is hard and most don’t really make it to the top.

There is this phrase that we’re sure a lot of you know and often use-

All good things to those who wait

This phrase is perfect for what we’re trying to say, but just sitting and waiting for success to come to you is never going to work, if you build a door, there will be plenty of opportunities that’ll come knocking at it. All you need, to build THAT door, is guts and the ability to take on risks that come along with it. It is like that saying-

Those who don’t jump can never fly

If you don’t jump then how will you know whether you’ll succeed? You need to take a leap and hope for the best. If you believe you can do it then we can guarantee you that you’ll always come out successful.

This Climb to success is not going to be an easy task though my friends, it is going to be tough, it is going to be tiring, you might even reach a point where you would feel like giving up no matter what stage you’re at. But you keep moving onward, keep pushing forward through all the troubles and the challenges that you face in this journey, if you give up then all that you went through would be for nothing.

Work Hard, Be Humble, Show Kindness, Respect People, Listen, Express, Understand And Feel.

These factors will play a major role in how successful you will be, incorporating all these qualities in your being will not only make you successful in your career but your life as well. All you need to do is take that first step that you know will guide you towards a brighter future and pull you closer to achieving your goals, just keep in mind your destination and the path you need to follow to get there.

Science has progressed quite a lot in the past few decades than ever before, and now it provides a lot of research based data for us to read and understand the biological reasoning behind every human emotion. Research in positive psychology has made great strides in clarifying what exactly makes us happy. Through internet and social media, we have a better access to such information. And yet, we don’t seem to be any happier than we were a generation ago. In fact, statistics show that more and more of us are suffering from clinical depression and anxiety—and that teens are the ones most affected by these.

How do we explain this paradox and what are some simple things we can undertake to bring happiness back into our lives?

Below are some habits that you can take for a happier life:

  1. Focus on Long Term Happiness

Sometimes some moments might give you short bursts of happiness but these moments might be the result of situations that are unhealthy for you, such as, addictions. For instance, having a dose of drug is momentary happiness for a drug addict, but in the long run not only does it deteriorate his health completely but also cause problems in his relationship with his family and friends. So, if we focus on building a meaningful life in which we act authentically, are guided by our core values, and the things that intrinsically inspire us, we can achieve a lasting happiness. For instance, for a painter, his paintings are a source of inspiration that keeps him motivated and inspires him to improve his skills. Similarly, for a musician producing great music is what makes him happy. The feeling may not be as intense as a momentary high, but it is deeper and worth so much more.

  1. Build and Nurture a Support Network

All of us need support, love, care and people who reciprocate our trust. It’s a hidden secret no more that loving and fulfilling relationships with people close to us make us happier and healthier. Unbreakable bonds make us feel good about ourselves and that feeling creates internal happiness. So focus on deepening your relationships by supporting others, especially your family, and be more willing of letting your friends in instead of being distant with them.

  1. Savor the Good Times

We forget the good moments or miss them entirely because we are stressing about some problems which then become a quick route to depression and anxiety. Our happiness is in our own hands and to achieve that we need to train our mind to deliberately focus on the positive aspects of our daily life, such as, a hug from a spouse, a goal accomplished, a pretty bird chirping on a tree outside the window, or a nice greeting from a friend or colleague in the morning. It has also been proven that we can extend our happiness and joy of our special times by just thinking about them, capturing these moments in our hearts and cameras to display on our desk, social media, our home, or by just talking about them to others.

  1. Be in Control

A key piece of this puzzle is autonomy. We all have a natural need to feel in control of our own lives. If we feel that the situations occurring in our life are out of our hands, being happy becomes sort of a challenge. But the feeling that a caring and benevolent higher power has our best interest at heart and that everything happens for a good reason can allow the fear-focused parts of our mind to let go and relax. If we are not religious or spiritual, we can still feel a sense of control by trusting in our support network, or in our own ability to adapt and learn new skills. Focusing on past successes can help as well. This is the idea behind wilderness camps or empowerment weekends that end with a fire walk. But you don’t have to go to extremes to feel competent and in control—simply setting some specific, manageable goals and tracking your progress in accomplishing them can have a similar effect.

  1. Always Do Something Different And Challenging

When we have an idea of how things need to be in order for us to be happy, we actually end up limiting our happiness. Similarly, if we keep doing the same things over and over again, never challenging ourselves, hedonistic adaptation will kick in and we will find ourselves stuck in a rut. Our brains naturally seek out novelty and challenge. Happiness creeps up on us in unexpected ways, when we find something new and interesting, or when we just go with the flow and let things unfold. Another way to create happiness is to look at familiar things in a new light.

All these habits mentioned above can help you in gaining a happier and healthier life, and a stronger relationship with people who are a part of it. Do whatever you feel will give you a sense of being and a purpose, life is too short to spend it on a monotonous routine. So, take every challenge and opportunity presented to you and make the most of it to experience that untainted joy and unrefined happiness, focus on your long term happiness, savor all the precious moments that occur in your life, and be in control of your life, you will never be sad ever again.

Have you ever wondered why you keep putting your loved ones before you? Why you keep putting yourself down? Why you think you aren’t worthy even when they tell you otherwise?

All this self-hate, all these insecurities, so deeply embedded in your mind, limit you from your true potential.

Think of it this way, you are given an opportunity that can change your whole life, but, you hesitate….why? Because you don’t think you have the capability of achieving something so big.

You constantly question yourself, why am I like this? Why am I not like the others? Why can’t I do anything?

All this self-doubt is nothing but the result of your self-hate.

What you need to understand is, every person is unique, each individual has certain strengths and certain weaknesses, but, what sets the happy and successful apart, is the confidence and the love that they have for themselves.

If you want to make your dreams come true, if you have the drive and the determination to get to that place in your life where you always wanted to reach, the first and the most important step you will ever have to take is to understand yourself.

Once you understand yourself, you will start liking your own persona, and once that happens, you will start to love yourself. Just this one tiny step will gradually diminish all your insecurities, all your doubts and all that hate.

Accept yourself the way you are, there is no other like you and THAT is your biggest advantage.

So, go buy that dress you saw, on the window of that pretty shop you passed one morning, but thought you certainly can’t pull off wearing.

Go on a date with that girl you noticed, in that coffee shop, whom you thought was way out of your league.

Take that opportunity you were about to let go because you believed you weren’t worth it.

You are worth it, you are amazing, and you are beautiful.

Always remember that.

Appreciate yourself and the world will appreciate you.
